"Gulf Fritillary Feeding" Original Macrophotograph of Gulf Fritillary Feeding on Nectar, Hawaii 1979
Gulf Fritillaries are not native to Hawaii, but they have blended right in with their neon orange and silver-colored wings. This one was photographed in 1979 with a Hasselblad 500 C/M 70mm film camera using 120 Ektachrome color transparency film. The image was recently converted to digital by scanning the original slide with an Epson Perfection V700 scanner.
